The CAC
The CAC its located
at 1705 Five Points Road.
The new building is a simple, yet
beautiful home for the Center for Action and Contemplation, and is now
in the building that was formerly Tepeyac
guest house.
The building includes our staff
offices, a working kitchen, Mustard
Seed, our Resource Center, BR. Sun our volunteer work room.
The facilities are located in the South Valley of Albuquerque and are
just a 15 minute walk from the Rio Grand River.
Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30
am - 4:30 pm. Centering Prayer sits are held twice daily in the STILLPOINT chapel, at 7:40 am and
4:40 pm, and are open to visitors. Wednesday mornings at the CAC are
contemplative time, during which the staff maintains silence as
much as possible.
STILLPOINT, our
Contemplative House, is also home to the AIDS Memorial Chapel. The
building was formerly home to the Damien Brothers Community, whose
ministry was with the HIV/AIDS community. After purchasing the
property from them, the CAC decided to keep the beautiful etched glass,
memorial window and dedicate the chapel to the AIDS community. It is a
quiet, peaceful space, and is open to visitors during office hours in
addition to Centering Prayer times.
