2006 Summer Conference
with
Sr.
Joan Chittister, OSB
and
Fr. Richard Rohr, OFM
June 30 – July 2, 2006 |

Although
the Jewish prophets were the authoritative teachers of Israel
and St. Paul lists the prophet as the second most important role
in the church, they are largely unknown and almost always undesired.
The role itself is ignored in Jesus, even though he claims it.
How
could this happen?
Could
this be the missing link which explains much of the impotence
of modern religion? Is recovering the prophetic role
a key to church and cultural renewal? Sr. Joan Chittister and
Fr. Richard Rohr will use this conference to unpackage
the power, the promise, and the possibility of the
prophetic vocation today.
