Study Guides

___________________________________ Portrait of a Radical

The Center for Action and Contemplation is pleased to announce that the first in a series of study guides is now available for purchase through our Resource Center. The study guide is a companion to the popular video, Portrait of a Radical: The Jesus Movement, produced and directed by DJ Kadagian of Four Seasons Productions.

The 50 minute video, which features "three provocative theologians" of our times, Huston Smith, Richard Rohr, and Allen Dwight Callahan, "[explores] the truly radical, dynamic, and passionate message of Jesus … [instilling] within viewers a sense that they are experiencing some of the spirit of the Movement itself."

The three session study guide, which includes a preview session, is designed for small groups to explore and share their understanding and experience of Jesus at a deeper level. Divided into three 90-minute sessions, the series can be incorporated at any time during the year, with groups finding it particularly beneficial during the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent.
