The "Sacred" Character of Gender
![]()
Our gender is our unique doorway to intimacy, to relationship, to our own truth, and to communion at all levels. No one is whole alone. How we relate humanly is how we relate divinely. If we have no search or capacity for “the other,” for our other half, our twin and partner, I cannot imagine how we would ever search for or understand union with God. Gender allurement provides the energy, the path, and the foundational school of holiness for all of us. If you deny the fascinating “face of the other” to anyone, you might just deny them their unique and driving path to God.
